Series Shifts
Giesbers names his Shifts paintings after influences and inspirations. This work after Franz Kline's large black and white abstracts which he enjoys a lot. The color palette is based on one of Kline's works, and also includes a soft yellow ochre, flesh pink and brown.
The painting turns negative in the dark (color shift) with the help of phosphorescent pigments (glow in the dark). The work is finished in high gloss.
