Neon I, 2020

100x100x3,0 cm
39,4x39,3x1,8 in
Acrylics, epoxy and phosphorescence on wood.

With the Shift series Giesbers celebrates positive influencers to his life. This work celebrates the Neon colors which Giesbers loves. Maybe unconsciously due to the countless hours in front of MTV during the 90s, but consciously definitely also because of Dan Flavin.

The painting turns negative in the dark with the help of phosphorescence.
