Series Shifts
With the Shift series Giesbers celebrates positive influencers to his life. This work celebrates the Neon colors which Giesbers loves. Maybe unconsciously due to the countless hours in front of MTV during the 90s or playing Playstation, potentially the bright laser shows at concerts and festivals, but consciously definitely also because of artworks of Dan Flavin.
The painting turns negative in the dark (color shift) with the help of phosphorescent pigments (glow in the dark). The work is finished in high gloss.
